Question: How long does it take to obtain a state registration?

Answer:
The application is filed the date it is received. It then goes through the examination process. An average of 5 to 10 business days can be expected.


Question: What are the requirements for submitting an international application through the USPTO?

Answer:
To file an international application through the USPTO, an applicant must have a U.S. application, called a "basic application" or a U.S. registration, called a "basic registration."

Question: If an applicant submits a specimen, is a drawing still required?

Answer:
Yes. A drawing is required in all applications, and is used by the Office for several purposes, including printing the mark in the Official Gazette, and on the registration certificate.
